Story/Tradition: I bought this 1964 Corvette Convertible in June of 1978. It has a 327-300 HSP, 4-speed trans and 3:555 gears. It has set in storage for 18 years while I was married with children. Four years ago I pulled it out of storage and began restoring it.
I went thru the motor, and trans, striped 3 layers of paint of the body and painted it back to the original factory color. Redid the interior and re-chromed the bumpers. With all that now complete, you will be seeing me driving it this summer in the South Bend, Mishawaka area with a smile on my face.

Car: 1969 Volkswagen Karman Ghia
Story/Tradition: My ride is a 1969 Volkswagen Karman Ghia.
I bought the car in 2005 with my own money. In 2006 the car was rear ended and since
this was my first car I could not let it sit in a junk yard, I just had to buy it back and make a Baja Ghia out of it. I cut the rear of the body off and
installed a cage to protect the engine. In the dunes I run 12 inch wide paddles and remove the doors. The engine is a 1680 with dual carburetors on it.
I have been building dune buggies since I was 13 so this is what I know. It is a unique and different car all together. I love my car and it is a blast to
drive in the sand or the street. It turns heads all the time!
